18 Teams attended Round 8 of the SEQ Sporfshing Series that was held on the Gold Coast today, due to Covid 19 restrictions with no gatherings of 10 people or more in public the event was run through the SEQ Sportfishing Series Facebook page as teams could start anywhere on the Gold Coast with photos sent through to the facebook page by 2pm.

1st place – In first place today was one of the smallest vessels in the field Team Seastraws of Adam Landers, Adam has been fishing really well the last few rounds with a 2nd place at the last Round at Bribie Island but today he measured in a great Gold Coast bag at 173.5cm for 5 Bream to take out the win.

Adam also caught the only Mangrove Jack today with a solid 47.5cm fish caught on 6lb line and was the first placed small vessel and secured $750 Cash overall for his efforts and his first win the the series.

2nd place – Coming home in second place today was regular anglers Matt & Rod Oates from Team Oates, the boys just missed out on taking another win this year as they measured in a bag of 171cm for 5 Bream.

3rd place – Rounding out the top 3 today was another one of our smallest vessels in the field and up and coming teams of Guy & Matt from Team Flanagan, the boys measured in their biggest ever bag of 170.5cm for 5 Bream that including todays biggest Bream with a cracking 41.5cm fish that secured them $250 Cash overall.
