Welcome to the Series Final of the SEQ Sportfshing Series Being held on the Gold Coast November 28th & 29th.

This round is open to all anglers in boats or kayaks regardless if you have a event before with all entries and payments must be completed together below by Friday 27th November , your starting position is in order of entry.

Event Details

Date – 28th & 29th November
Entry Fee $150 per team (increased for the two day event), you can fish solo or as a team of two in a boat or as a single person kayak. ( 1 Extra child 16 or under can fish as extra person on a boat only)
Each day teams will be fishing for their 5 Biggest Bream, all fish are to be measured on a SEQ Sportfishing Service Brag Mat with your key tag showing in all photos.
Biggest 5 Bream each day will be added up over the two days for a final score.
We have three bonus species for this event, the biggest Mangrove Jack, Flathead and Trevally for the event will win $50 Cash each.
Biggest Bream each day will win $100 Cash.
Lure fishing only no bait or burley allowed.

Measuring Fish.

Below is how you measure your fish, have the nose of the fish on the allow bar and the longest tip of the fish on a measuring mark.
We measure fish by .05cm, if the tip is over a measuring mark it is classed 0.5cm as below the fish is 31.5cm.
Please make sure the fish photo is clear with the special item in the photo.
All fish photos must have the code word in the photo of the fish or it won’t be accepted.

Running of Event

Day 1 Start & Finish Location Paradise Point Boat Ramp.

Day 1 will be Northern Gold Coast with no fishing down the Nerang River and as per no go zones below.
Teams are to meet as per photo attached at Paradise Point Boat Ramp for Rego & Briefing
Rego Time 6.00am to 6.45am – Come up to the table and grab your key tag and this is your starting postion.
Briefing Time 6.45 to 6.55am
Fishing Time 7am to 2pm
Day 1 all teams are to send their 5 Biggest Bream photos in plus any bonus species to the SEQ Sportfshing Series Facebook page by 2pm, late penalties may occur if photos are sent in late.
Teams can still be out fishing at 2pm but photos must be in.
Hold on to your key tag and bring it along to Registration on Day 2

Day 2 Start location Budds Beach Nerang River.

Day 2 will be the Nerang River only, you cant fish past the Sundale bridge as per no go zones below.
Teams are to meet at Budds Beach as per photo for Registration and Briefing.
We recommend you use other boat ramps in the area as car parking is limited at Budds Beach Boat Ramp.
Rego Time 5am to 5.45am, come up to to grab your key tag this is starting order as in order of results from Day 1.
Briefing Time – 5.45am to 5.55am
Fishing Time 6am to 1pm
We will be holding a measure at Budds Beach, One angler of each Team are to bring up the photos of your 5 Biggest Bream only plus any bonus species with your key tag for me to add up the score.
Prestation for the event & Team of the Series will be done 30 minutes after the final team brings up their photos.
All winning payments will be made by bank transfer 24 hours after the end of the event.

No go zones & Boundaries.

Please read the no go zones and boundaries, if any team is found to be fishing is a no go zone or outside a boundary your will be DQ from the event with no return of your entry fee.

Day 1 Boundary – Northern Gold Coast

No Fishing past the yellow line above south, No fishing the Sundale bridge or Nerang river.
No Fishing outside the Gold Coast Seaway or Jumpinpin Bar.
Northern Boundary is from Victoria Point to Coochiemudlo Island to Tip of Macleay Island and as per red line.
No Fishing in Hope Island or Sanctuary Cove as per photo below.
Fishing outside a Marina is OK where Suitable but no casting inside a Marina, see below Marina Map.
No fishing in any Locks or any area that is not open to public access, everyone must have equal access.
No Fishing in any Green Marine Park Zones.
Always obey speed limits as sign posted.
40 Knots Max speed in Qld smooth water ways.
6 Knots in all canals.
No Fishing in Calypso Bay

Day 2 Boundary – Nerang River Only.
- No Fishing past yellow line, you can fish the Sundale bridge just cant go past yellow line.
- 6 Knots in all canals.
- Obey all speed limits.
- No Fishing in any private locks or any area that does not have public access.
- All Marinas in the Nerang River are ok to fish.
No fishing in any Locks or any area that is not open to public access, everyone must have equal access.
No Fishing in any Green Marine Park Zones.
Always obey speed limits as sign posted.
40 Knots Max speed in Qld smooth water ways.
6 Knots in all canals.
