Team Bream Me Up of Phil & Mitch Bennet come from third place yesterday to take out the series final of the SEQ Sportfshing Serie that was held on the Gold Coast over the weekend and pocketed $1000 cash for their efforts, the boys measured in a 160.5cm bag today fishing down the Nerang River to back up their 167.5cm bag yesterday from the Northern Gold Coast to secure a overall length of 328cm to take out win.
Coming home in second place was Team Seastraws of Adam Landers & Rob Bergel, the boys were sitting in second place after Day 1 and measured in a great Day 2 bag 158.5cm to hold down second position and secure themselves a $500 payday as they were the first small vessel too.
Rounding out the top 3 was Day 1 leaders Addict Tackle of Matthew Fatafehi & Mitchell Ferris, the boys measured in the biggest bag of the event on Day 1 with 171cm but could only put together a 153.5cm Day 2 Bag that secured them third place, the boys also caught the Biggest Trevally for the event at 49.5cm and equal Day 1 Big Bream that secured them $300 Cash.
