Welcome to Round 1 of the 2020 SEQ Sportfishing Series, this a Gold Coast South Round Nerang River Only Event.

This Round is sponsored by Tonec Custom Rods, a local rod builder here on the Gold Coast they specialise in custom made sportfishing rods to suit your needs.

All SEQ Sportfishing Series Rounds are open to all anglers in boats or kayaks, all entries and payments must be completed together below and your starting position is in order or entry.

Event Details

* Date – Sunday January 12th 2020

* Start & Finish Location – Budds Beach Nerang River

* Entry Fee $100 per team, you can fish solo or as a team of two in a boat or as a single person kayak. (Extra kids 16 or under can fish as an person on boats)

* Times – Registration 5am to 5.45am, briefing 5.45am, Fishing time 6am to 1pm.

* Biggest 5 Bream Per Team to be measured on a SEQ Sportfishing Services Brag Mat only and photographed with your starting key tag showing, 26cm min size to the tip of the tail.

* Lure fishing only no bait or burley allowed.

* Biggest Mangrove Jack, Trevally & Flathead $50 Cash Each

* Biggest Bream for the event $100 Cash

* 1st place small vessel $100 Cash

* 2nd place small vessel $50 Cash

* Encouragement Award for the round is a $100 SEQ Sportfishing Estuary & Dam Charter Voucher

No Go Zones & Boundaries

Nerang River only event
No Fishing or boating past the Sundale Bridge, You can fish the Sundale Bridge but you can not travel past it.
No Fishing in any private locks or any area not open to the general public, everyone must has equal access.
Obey all speed limits
All Rules and Boundary Photos must not be used by anyone or any company unless they have the written rights by SEQ Sportfishing Services.
