The LOX 2-5kg light/medium spin was held in its’ design phase for over two years. The 2-5kg was the first design project for the LOX team. The 2-5kg is a favorite in the LOX stable as it has achieved something that even the most optimistic members of the team thought was impossible, create a rod that tackles Bass as adroitly as it tackles inshore monsters.
The 2-5kg is a true “cross-over” rod. It provides the finesse required in tight waters yet is expansive enough for rough inshore work there is “enough in the tank”. This of course isn’t enough to classify the 2-5kg as a true “cross over” rod. It is its unique ability to cast the tiniest of plastics, through to hefty stick baits is how the rod earns it title as a “cross over” rod. There is after all little point in having a rod capable of dealing with a Mack Tuna if you can’t cast a small enough lure!
If there is a rod in our range that can be truly classified as a “go-too-rod” for the Avid Angler pushing boundaries across species than the 2-5kg light to medium spin is it.
