The SEQ Sportfishing Series is a lure only, catch and release tournament series that is based on all the popular estuary systems here in South East Queensland, the 2021 Series will have 10 Qualifying Rounds from January to October and a Grand Final being held in November for the top 10 Teams in the Team of the Series who will fish for $3000 cash to win.
Anglers can fish out of a boat (solo or team of 2) or kayak (solo) to catch their 5 Biggest Bream at each event to be measured and photograph on a SEQ Sportfishing measuring mat with your 5 Biggest Bream to be measured up for an overall length, per round we will have a minimum of 12 Cash payouts and prizes to hand out including 2 bonus species per round, Biggest Bream per round, mystery length cash payout, lowest measure plus more so all teams have a change to walk away with something regardless if you win the the event.
This year we are introducing the mystery length cash prize for teams who have placed out of the cash and prizes from placing 9th and below, $10 from each entry from that round goes towards the mystery length prize pool that is drawn at the end of prestation of each round. The length from 4th place to the lowest length is put into a random draw app on my phone and is drawn with the closest length rounding up wins the cash prize. Example if we get 15 teams to a round the mystery length cash prize is $150, if the drawn mystery length is 1050 the team closest rounding up wins the payout.

Single Day Rounds x 8
- $150 Entry Fee per team
- Entry Fee break down – $20 towards Running costs, $20 towards Grand Final Prize pool, $110 towards round payout.
- 5 Biggest Bream measured on a SEQ Sportfishing Services measuring mat with your starting key tag showing in each fish photo for a overall length, if you have a existing mat you can use but new teams will need to purchase one at $30 on your first entry.
- $1000 Cash to win per round if we get 16 teams or more.
- Top 3 Cash payout per round.
- Placings 4th to 8th win sponsor prizes valued at $100 each – TBA
- $100 Cash for Biggest Bream Per round.
- 2 x Bonus species per round, $50 Cash for each of the biggest bonus species per round.
- Mystery length – $10 from each entry per round goes towards the prize pool to be drawn at the end of the event.
- Lowest overall length will (cant be Zero) will win a $150 SEQ Estuary Sportfishing Charter Voucher.
- Entry is to be paid before the event to fish by card or bank transfer on the entry form, your starting position is in order from entry.
- Winning cash payments will be paid 24 hours after the event by bank transfer.
Two Day Events x 2
- $200 Entry Fee per team
- Entry Fee break down – $20 towards Running costs, $20 towards Grand Final Prize pool, $160 towards round payout.
- 5 Biggest Bream measured each day with your starting key tag showing in all fish photos and added up over the 2 days for a overall length, if you have a existing mat you can use but new teams will need to purchase one at $30 on your first entry.
- $1500 Cash to win per round if we get 16 teams or more.
- Top 3 Cash payout per round.
- Placings 4th to 8th win sponsor prizes valued at $100 each – TBA
- $100 Cash for Biggest Bream for the round.
- 2 x Bonus species per round, $50 Cash for each of the biggest bonus species.
- Mystery length each round, $10 from each entry goes towards this prize pool for each round

Team of the Series
- Team of the series will be the best 8 of 10 rounds that count.
- Top team with most points from their 8 of 10 rounds wins $500 Cash.
- Top 10 teams from the Team of the Series points score qualify for the Grand Final.
- 100 points for a win dropping 1 point for each place down.
- Two day events will be double point rounds.
- Biggest Bream per round gets a bonus point.
- Biggest bonus species for each round gets a bonus point.
- One angler must fish under that team name for the series to count but you can change partners if needed.

- The 2021 SEQ Sportfshing Series Grand Final will be held in November on the Gold Coast over 2 days.
- The Grand Final is $3000 cash to win with no other prizes.
- 5 Biggest Bream measured each day and added up over the 2 days for a overall length.
- Top 10 Team in the Team of the Series point score will qualify, if a team in the top ten declines to fish the next team in the Team of the Series will be offered to fish the Grand Final.
- Grand Final entry fee is $100
