Well what a week of the weather here in SEQ with incorrect forecasts, postponing charters and pretty much a guessing game everyday!
On a positive note we are receiving the much needed rain the whole East Coast was hoping for and this is generally a great sign for fishing for the next 4 to 5 months, over the past week I did 4 charters on the Gold Coast that seen clients on every charter get into some great fish on a variety of lure techniques.
With the changing weather we are getting daily this also changes the bite patterns on the fish and how they behave, last weekend the fishing was tougher due to high water temps (28-30 deg) but with all this rain during the week it dropped the water temps (23-25 deg) and it made the fishing a lot better with over 30 fish caught in 4 hours!
The one big thing we got this week was a big variety of fish on every charter which is very common for this time of year and this will continue now right up to Winter as the water temps drop and we get a nice flush out with this rain, everything from big schools of Trevally, Snapper, Flathead, Flounder, Cod, Bream and more caught all on lures such as soft plastics, hard bodies and surface lures.
